The Contest

Are you ready to share your story?

This blog is more than a place where I share my ideas; couples should contribute too! That is why I am having a contest to hear the most romantic, funniest, cutest stories out there. All you have to do is send me either your proposal/engagement story OR your most romantic moment as a couple, along with a photo of the two of you. Do it by November 9th, and I'll post the finalists on November 10th for a week of voting. The blog visitors will pick the winner.

Now, let me tell you about the prize! The winning couples will get a wonderful engagement portrait session, and a custom photo guest book. Those of you at the Castle this weekend got to see one of these in person. If you weren't at the show, just check out the photos here. The pages are actual photos, and each book comes with two special photos pens so your guests can leave not only their signatures, but fond memories and best wishes as well! Aren't these so much cooler than a lined paper book?

A few details...

In all the craziness of the show, I was able to take a moment to walk around and snap a few photos. Here are a some of my favorites... The chic, simple details on the back of the gown above looked so retro to me - so I took a sepia photo and gave it a little vintage treatment! Danny took the photo of the carriage house entrance. I love the look of the fall leaves against the stone wall. Greg and LauraLee, the talented duo at Hemlocks Confections, gave me a taste of their delicious caramel flavor cake after I took this shot. The cakes taste as good as they look! Wouldn't this hydrangea and leaf cake be perfect for an autumn wedding?

I had a fabulous time meeting brides, grooms, and their helpers (i.e. parents and bridesmaids!) yesterday at the Castle. Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth to visit!

Engagement Season!

Photographers often talk about "wedding season," the mid-year zone when most weddings take place - and photographers are busiest! In New England, fall is definitely "engagement photo season." I had so much fun going out with Sam and Aaron for a casual session at Boston Common. These two were so cute, and had so much energy, they practically did my job for me! Every time I glanced up, they were picture-perfect and ready for another great shot. So romantic!
